Doina Serban was born on November 17, 1960 in Romania. She studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Cluj, with additional studies in the Fashion Department. In 1986 Doina Serban became a member of the Professional Artists Association (UAP) and a member of Visual Arts Ontario (VAO). She had her first solo exhibition in 1999 at Teodora Art Gallery in Toronto, Canada and in the UAP Gallery in Cluj, Romania. From 1990 to 1995 Doina has displayed her work in decorative art exhibitions in Cluj, Romania.
